If one understands plot in terms of the creation and resolution of tension, there is not much plot in Leviticus—but there is some: —the death of Nadab and Abihu (10:2) naturally creates tension —the confrontation between Moses and Aaron over eating the sin-offering (at the end of Leviticus 10) —the fate of the blasphemer must await Moses’ consultation with the Lord (24:12) —the pattern of command-fulfillment creates tension—will the pattern continue or will it be broken?
